CoRubrics operation

CoRubrics Add-on is in Add-on Google sheets Gallery.

Install CoRubrics Add-on.

Create template of CoRubrics.

Below, a spreadsheet is open with two sheets. In the first, there is a rubric to fill.

You can change the names of levels (Expert, Advanced, Apprentice, Novell) and their scores. And if you want you can add or remove. Same with the aspects evaluated, you can remove or add. It is only important that the column where are indicated weights were the last column of the rubric.

The second sheet should indicate the names and addresses of students.

If you assess students, put the names and emails:

If you assess groups, put the name of the group and all the mails of the stundets that form this group:

Now, the rubric is customizated. You just have to use the menu at the top, Add-ons / CoRubrics G Suite.

1- Create a form with the contents of the rubric:

The first step is to create the form. When the menu is selected, you can create a form with the rubric.

We asked for a name for the form. Ready, the form will have been created.

No need to open the form at the moment, but looks like this:

2- Send by mail the form to students or get the link if only teacher corrects:

Now the CoRubrics menu has changed. The first option is to mail the link to students. If selected, each student will receive an email like this:

The students can click the link and answer the form. CoRubrics automatically detects if any students assess himself.

If the assessment makes only by the teacher, rather than send the link to students, you can get the link of the form. So you can answer it. CoRubrics automatically detects if is the teacher who answers.

3- Process the data to obtain mean:
Once you send the link to students or seen it on screen, the menu CoRubrics has changed again. When you and/or your students have answered the form, you should choose Process form responses from the menu.

In doing so, a new sheet will be created after the sheet students. The name of this sheet is date and time of processing and it contains all averages.

You can see averages for every Aspect and Overall rate.

In the example (picture), Student 1 has been assessed by 4 other students.

In first aspect, Student 1 obtain level 3 (Advanced). Student 2 obtain level 2 (Apprentice)

To turn a rubric in a numeric grade is always a problem. For this, two global grades are offered. The first grade is the lowest aspect and the second grade is the weighted average of the issues.

In example, Students 1 obtain 6.88 in the lowest item and 7.13 in the weighted average.

4- Send results and commentary students

Finally, the CoRubrics menu has changed again. It lets you send the results to students by email.

Each student (or each group of students) will only receive their results.

Pressing the menu will ask us about send options (send final grade?...)

Students will receive an email like the following (in this case indicating the final grade is sent):

When the process is finished, you can restart. So that if the rubric is passed more than once with the same group, we have several sheets of results to compare the data.
